Maybe I should’ve done that as well. Held a talk about Htmx recently but maybe more would’ve come if it was by the CEO OF htmx.

and honestly, the more we integrate javascript like features straight into html, the better, why I like htmx and alpine.

There is a kind of exciting movement in #web dev right now. Web devs are talking about "JavaScript Fatigue", "Framework Fatigue", the "Revival of Hypermedia" and "HTML Over The Wire". In a word: we're asking ourselves why we're building #html in […]

there do exist a few people who use htmx in production. i’ve not seen their backends obviously but i strongly suspect it’s a lean client with a truly restful backend following all the defined axioms (even that one)

tho why do you say so? what perspective are you looking at it from

htmx gives you access to AJAX, CSS Transitions, WebSockets and Server Sent Events directly in HTML, using attributes, so you can build modern user interfaces with the simplicity and power of hypertext...

This release was a lot of fun effort, and is a display of the rapidly growing Air community. The .htmx object implementation was inspired by @adamj.eu's incredible work on django-htmx.

Hacker News debated HTMX vs. Datastar: two libraries simplifying web dev. Key themes included architectural differences (client vs. server HTML drive), Datastar's freemium model, and developer experience. Community divided on licensing vs. ease of use. #WebDev 1/6

Why should they be client side (he asked, not trying to stir the pot, no sir, not me :P). Joking aside, I'm having a lot of fun with good old templates and a smattering of HTMX since that means I don't need to maintain a frontend separately :D

I finally pushed publish on why I moved from HTMX to Datastar.

everydaysuperpowers.dev/articles/why...

This feels a little more like a conference talk than a blog post, but there was too much to sum up, but not enough to overwhelm.

I'd love to know your thoughts!

That’s a wrap! 🎉 Thanks to Haseeb Majid for “What I learnt building a web app with Go and HTMX”. A refreshing take on building full-stack apps with less JavaScript and more joy.

htmx is kinda cute as someone that doesn't do any frontend dev. haven't used it for any production-type shit but i've made some nice prototypes with it

The best part is that jsr:@slices/cli init scaffolds a project for you, sets up all the env vars and oauth, and you can just login with your atproto handle! Default is deno + htmx but will add more soon.

You'll need an invite to login via the cli right now but just ping me in the discord.

"We find hot new trends in the industry & then build the opposite of that“ – has been my motto forever, it seems.

And htmx. If you're building stuff with React, Vue or other frontend frameworks, check it out.
