It's inaccurate that there are more orange males. It completely depends on the number of orange alleles in the gene pool. We see a lot of orange and buff (two recessive dilute alleles) females. We see about 7,000 cats per year through my HQHVSN clinic, and male calicos are really rare. Only 3 ever!
