My red radishes are popping up out of the ground and will be harvested soon!

Greenhouse Fauna lights are up! Rainbow potato bins have been moved! Grow bins with greens and peppers coming in later this week! The smaller greenhouse, Flora, also has bins. Just need to organize all the cords for the new grow lights!

I started Hungarian yellow and California red chili peppers THREE TIMES before any starts made it to transplant. And now, in October, after coaxing, fertilizing, weeding, and covering w/frost blankets the last two weeks, I HAVE PEPPERS. #Garden 🌱 #gardensky #GrowFood

I would 💯 recommend growing these burgundy bush beans! The plants are so hardy, so simple to tend, and produce great food. They turn green after cooking! Oh, and bees love their flowers.

A plastic food container holds a stack of long and somewhat fat purple beans that would normally be called green beans except they're purple. They're supposed to be burgundy but to me they look purple. Anyway, they look awesome and they taste better.

A patch of bush beans takes a long trip through the east side of my garden and stops a few feet away from my rainbow potato bins. A madam leota headstone is on the right side. Little teepees made out of plastic rods are where some peas are growing. To the left you can see part of the trunk of one of our apple trees.

Awoke to 34 degrees today. The last tomatoes will be pulled from the tunnel today. We'll do our best to winterize & use the space as we can until deep winter. The tunnel allowed us twice the harvest this year. Next year we take this year's lessons and kick even more #GrowFood butt. #OnTheCovenstead

I thought I had a lot more ripe tomatoes than I actually had, so I did all the work of prepping for canning. And had maybe 8 tomatoes, most in the smaller side. SO. MUCH. WORK. for this one 16 oz (pint) jar of puree. 😜🤣😭

A photo of my snack in bed last night. I am holding a Red Bull with black trim with tortilla chips shown on one side and in it is a smaller green Bowl holding a good load of salsa. This was after I'd eaten about half my snack. A soft flannel blanket is on my lap and the background to the bowl.

A jar of canned tomatoes and a jar of green salsa both sit more than half empty in the salsa case and about a third used of the tomatoes. We will use both again absolutely before they go bad. We used the tomatoes in a soup the night before that was also a fantastic dish.

I am holding a giant True Green Hubbard squash and it's actually the smaller of the two I harvested today.

Another picture of me holding the absolutely enormous squash in the garden. My tank top reads dog mom with Pluto right in the middle of the o and I am wearing shorts that match. You can see part of my night on Bald Mountain and Haunted Mansion combo tattoo on one leg and my Patriots tattoo on my left upper arm. The squash itself genuinely looks like it is thicker around than the thinnest part of my waist. I think it's funny. No way I could have lifted that thing if it wasn't for the fact I've been doing yoga every day for a couple of months now.

Both squash on my rocky concrete porch. My hand holds one end and shows how big they are. I will weigh later!!
