Need joy? A illustrated physical copy of The Root and the Seed is available to pre-order from GreasyGrass Press. "illustrated with a nod to found ephemera zines and corporate espionage" - how can you not IMMEDIATELY want it??????
Did you know that you could get the deep satisfaction of being such a good person that you help to end the MMIW crisis just by reading science-fiction & Indigenous futurism WHILE giving to revitalize an Indigenous language?

Every purchase raises $ to help #MMIW

The founders of GreasyGrass Cooperative Press have never even considered betraying millions (or ourselves) by "scaling back" our DEI policies, to do otherwise would compromise our founding purpose.

We will continue to hold diversity, equity & inclusion as core principles.

GreasyGrass Cooperative Press tried to recruit advisory board members from Canada to be able to help with the MMIW crisis in Canada (very hard for an org made up entirely of not-Canadians to help inside Canada) for over a year but had no luck

Sadly we're now only able to help inside the US

Developing our logo has me thinking about how GreasyGrass Cooperative Press can avoid the trappings of corporate publishing

We want to do things in a good way: without pressure, timetables, & the other constraints of capitalism

We want to prove that the colonized way is not the only path forward

Hi! Welcome to the BlueSky account for GreasyGrass Cooperative Press, an Indigenous focused press cooperative!

We will be focusing on Indigenous voices as well as other minority groups (but always with a focus on speaking to Indigenous people).

After weeks of studying business regulations I will say this, ranchers really have set themselves up for success in Colorado

Luckily the same laws are now applying to an Indigenous publishing co-op, GreasyGrass Cooperative Press is now recognized by the state as a cooperative business entity!
