#goldbug
Truly, it's only Goldbug if it's made in the Champaign region of Cybertron. All others are simply Glittering Bumblebee.

One of his stories, "The Gold-Bug", had a cipher he invented. It's now called the Goldbug Cipher and you can find it on www.dcode.fr/gold-bug-poe

Wave 2, with chase Goldbug and Bugbyte team and minus Nemesis Prime which I gave away.
Intend to get Bugbyte customed into Glyph, otherwise they'd be gone too.

Feels like the AI top must be near.

How long can the market stay this irrational? 2026? 2027? Longer?

Not a goldbug, but I see why.
Incredible scenes here: Boom Supersonic is raising $300mm and pivoting to AI by signing a contract to supply its turbines as electrical power for data centers. They're even talking about converting turbines from simple to combined cycle via a "field upgrade". This is all deranged.

Crusoe will pay Boom $1.25 billion for more than a gigawatt of generating capacity with deliveries of the turbines starting in 2027.

There is also now a restaurant on Sullivan's Island called Poes tavern, whose entrance is graced by a goldbug in tile. #wedreads

Also, on a personal note, I went to school for half a year on Sullivan's Island, where Poe was stationed and largely seen as the inspiration for "The Goldbug." Most illustrations have large cliffs and massive trees. Sullivan's Island is....not that. #wedreads

Goldbug wearing a latex mask of a human face over his mask so that he can do a dramatic reveal for his gimmick of paying for goods and services in gold.

goldbug #gaslighting.
no one was paid in gold in 1971.
no one is paid in gold today.
A complex set of changes occurred, facilitated by simplistic (tho different) narratives like this.
But through them, elites grabbed >> wealth for themselves, while spinning stories to naturalize a dramatic shift.
1971: fiat flipped, wages fell. #econsky
Something not talked about enough is how the year 1971 broke the economy forever.

In 1971 minimum wage was $1.60/ hour,

That’s 1.82 oz of gold per week for 40 hours.

Today, this would be $192/ hour and $7,700/ week.

That’s what they stole from us.

Judging by the Hegseth/Patel/RFK standard, who do you think Trump's Fed Chair pick is?
10-1 odds someone you've never heard of.
Cryptocrank>>goldbug, though.
The President has said that he has already picked his new Fed Chair. In this segment of #TheProfessorIsIn, we answer the question: What are the stakes? How will this decision affect YOUR life?

It really tickles me how comically evil they made the autobots in this series. They really just swapped Starscream and Goldbug personality-wise and its great.

He’s such a goldbug. When he dies, do you think he wants his corpse covered in gold, like the woman in “Goldfinger”, and displayed in a glass box, like Lenin?

And I think we should check Fort Knox. He wanted to go there right after he was inaugurated. A few stolen bars might be buried with Ivana.

Probably the biggest difference between me and Goldbug is that I have a toddler to transport around and Goldbug is childfree by choice (because parenthood would take away too much time from his vocation of hiding on each page), which is why he can get away with a tiny car.

I wish I could have a tiny car. Like, the tiniest car anyone's ever seen. This should be me:

These people are going to turn me into a goldbug I swear to God.

“Bitcoin is apolitical”

No the fuck it is not. That’s like saying that goldbug / gold standard economic ideology is apolitical.

And that’s without considering the fact that bitcoin is a Ponzi scam. And yes, it turns out scams are generally right wing too.

I like the proportions more but I adore the penny racer mode of 86 so I’ll probably stick with him. Here’s hoping they make a goldbug repaint of this guy!

The Trump Admin wants to do this to satisfy the ideological hawks in Florida and look cool. There is a little bit of goldbug motivation re: oil but like Chevron doesn't want this really!
