Been a bit, but I've been working more on my PS1 styled game, and made quite a few updates, complete with brand new updated models for the others, and dynamic tessellation, like on PS1. Hope y'all like it

lol well after a restart this doesn’t work anymore. temporarily got it working again by toggling “force sRGB” on each individual part, but then it breaks again on restart and won’t come back without extensive changes to the object/material. any #godot #godot3D #gamedev people know why this is?

With Godot 4.5 coming out today, I used the new stencil buffer feature to make the heat waves cut off between rooms.

To really see it, you need to look through the doorway, you can probably see the difference between rooms

Added a cutscene system to my game. It is modular so I can reutilize it in many parts of the game. Here I'm using it when I press a button, to show the outcome.

What are the most user friendly orbit controls for games? Every 3D application I use (blender, Godot, unreal, etc) all tend to use inconsistant control schemes.

Is there anything prefered by gamers?

Road Train Büchner-13 boss fight is finally done. After a few months of development, the combat loop proved quite satisfying. Since there are no I-frames, skirting around the hazards requires more effort.
