“I kind of thought you were on board with this after our talk last week.  You asked where we would even start, remember?  Well, this site.  This is where we would start.” Drew rambled on about how it seemed like I didn’t even care what he thought about any of this, how I jumped into researching IVF before even considering whether or not this was something he actually wanted to be a part of.  That deciding to have a baby together shouldn’t be something that’s taken lightly.  There was something about communication and equal consideration and, honestly, I don’t really know.  I was only half listening.   “I saw you with that baby when we were shopping the other day.  The one in the stroller with the little giraffe teether thing.  You were enthralled.  The ceiling could’ve collapsed and you wouldn’t have had a clue.  You can’t sit here and tell me you don’t want to have kids.”  I sat there, staring pleadingly at him for a brief moment before a sudden realization hit me like a brick wall.  “Fuck.  Shit.  Is it just that you don’t want to have kids with me?”
