I was shocked to hear @maddow on 8/11/25 state that Trump has released and basically pardoned a convicted triple murderer to FL. He also released a multi convicted drunk driver and basic felonious repeater too! #47 pardoned 1,500 1/6/21 insurrectionists, so he isn’t tough on crime ppl! #GetOutofDC

The new policy says that DC may share info with ICE about people "not in MPD custody (e.g., during traffic stops)," but they remain barred from sharing info for people they detain. So it suggests delaying traffic stops to give ICE time to get there, to do an end-run around DC's sanctuary laws.
