GUI & box-n-wire side I really like two ideas that I think deserve combining but AFAIK have never been combined so far:

— Conal Elliotts Tangible Values demo: "Eros"
— Ensos (former Luna) choice of boxes being identical to and mere annotations of outgoing wires that carry functions as values too.
