#frankenweenie
Nightmare Before Christmas juggles some stuff to mostly good effect, Frankenweenie adds too much to a solid foundation, while Corpse Bride takes a really offbeat idea and makes it a reflection story about two souls that need closure, it is the most personal of that bunch and I adore it for that.

Tim Burton’s stop motion trilogy is an interesting one because like, I really like Nightmare, and Frankenweenie is kinda there despite not being bad, but I still cannot process why he actually pulled off Corpse Bride so effectively, like that is his animated magnum opus and I am not afraid to say it

I can't believe they're playing Paranorman in my local theater the same weekend as Frankenstein. they could have done the funniest thing on the planet and played Frankenweenie

For years both “Vincent” (1982) and “Frankenweenie” (1984) were only available on a VHS released in the early 90s. “Frankenweenie” would eventually become a full length animated film in 2012

And now, because I think everyone’s brains need a little break from being rattled, here’s “Vincent” (1982) and “ Frankenweenie” (1984) written and directed by Tim Burton (youtu.be/2rcPe9sojpc?...)

Victor: Nobody likes scientists.
Rzykruski: They like what science gives them, but not the questions, no. Not the questions that science asks.
...

Rzykruski: Science is not good or bad, Victor. But it can be used both ways. That is why you must always be careful.
