I really wanted to post the valentines comics on the main Fantomestein host page but the tonal whiplash would have been SO egregious between those and the page I’m working on… 🙈

The AU I hold closest to my chest (for the sake of y’all, trust) is seeping out of me in these trying times. It’s embarrassing, or at least it should be, I’m told. #sketch
In photo caption (from insta stories) says : “One moment you’re just to the voice on ur dads radio and the next moment you got some basement dweller smearing paint on your face and muttering about you singing his music and you’re the mask he wears or whatever.” The sketch itself is of an alternate universe version of Fantomestein Erik and Christine. Erik, wearing a mask and applying greasepaint to Christine’s face while looking back (presumably at a mirror) while she stares ahead, clearly unnerved by the situation. In photo caption (from insta stories): “Brain rot AU but it’s too late 80s ugh will I ever be able to bring my wretched visions on to the page??? Medieval revival, late 70s/early 80s but make it a little more drag a little more camp, that’s the goal. Mine, Pierrot, expressionism. There’s too many things I’m juggling here.” The sketches show a couple different iterations of Christine’s performer persona with heavy white face paint and hair with red lips and clown-like face details. Exaggerated, painted on eyelashes and all black clothing.

Alternate universe of Fantomestein where therapy was mandatory and Christine lost one dad (rip Pappa Daae) but got 2 dads now. This sketch shows Erik/Frankenstein’s Monster, Christine (as a child) and Daroga/The Persian having story time in what appears to be a pillow fort. Christine is in the middle, under Erik’s arm, with an open book on her lap and she and TC/Erik are doing questionable impersonations of a bear growling. At the hand’s-end of TC/Erik’s arm is Daroga. He is dozing, but has one eye open—watching TC/Erik with amused affection. It’s all very domestic and wholesome.

The main characters from Fantomestein in their respective Halloween costumes. The Daroga is Harlequin Lestat from the AMC IWTV show (complete with blond bob). Raoul lounges in the foreground as That Guy from the Paris Olympic opening ceremony. Christine and TC/Erik seem to have had a miscommunication about ghouls: Christine being a lady version of Copia/Papa Emeritus IV from Ghost and TC/Erik is The Ghoul from Prime’s Fallout show.
