I tend to collect notebooks as they come to me :p
Thr only time I've purposefully bought fancy ones is when Moleskine put out The Lord of the Rings editions – and OFMD ones! Ferio has "Captain's Log" and Lauravian has one with the mockup pulp literature cover!

All of his Children had to sign one, with a Non Disparagment Clause, to get their Trust Fund. Tiffany's was 'in the wild' during his Divorce from Marla..and it was printed in Playboy..then djRump sued Heffner, demanding he claw back ALL those copies..so it's among the rarest editions you'll find.

I'd always rather read these things in mine and the author's language, but Andrea Rosenberg's translations never left me wanting; without the original books to compare the text, I get the impression these American editions did a perfect job conveying the book to Anglo readers. Translation is an art.
I read a lot of new 2025 graphic novels today, and two others I also really loved but wished I could have seen in their original Spanish instead of the American editions I got my hands on: Witchcraft (Walicho) by Sole Otero, and Cornelius by Marc Torices, both translated by Andrea Rosenberg

If Disney could have done away with the Special Editions they would have done so by now. It might mean that Lucas had more say about the his films than about plans for the future. Might also be that the conditions of the buyout was that Disney gain more say on the plans for the sequels.

I am going to read The Secret Society of Super-Villians. The 2 hard cover editions and they contain absolutely in them, even the 1st draft issue 1. It is very different. Check out the last two episodes of the Earth-2 Podcast. David and Pete are amazing

It bums me out that we've moved away from cool commentary tracks and behind the scenes featurettes.
Like The Lord of the Rings Extended Editions bonus features are basically film school in a box.
And I think I've seen the Aliens documentaries more than the movies themselves.

It was *very clearly* satire in 1st and 2nd editions. It became less obvious in order to progress editions and sell more models, as the satirical content was diluted, Space Marines became the sort of 'recognizable human hero symbol,' and 'oh wait, the Imperium are fascists...' was washed out. For $.
