No, I still have it. Still use it as well as my eCargo bike. Tho eCargo bike is used more as it's more suited for carrying loads. My e-Cruiser is now more for leisure after 5yrs doing all the work.

Anna, Kieran and family recently trialed both our Dolly & Longtail ecargo bikes. They found them so beneficial for school runs that they are going getting there own one. Trialing ecargo bike allows families to see if/which type suits. [email protected] for queries.

So they refunded the money for the rim tapes & said they'll post them to me for free for the hassles. Well they arrived today, hand delivered & still not got the right one for 26" wheel. It's bloody wider than the rim. Think I'll trim it down to right width as just had enough of the hassles. 😣

Which ain't helping as trying to save hard to overhaul my eCargo bike & not gonna be cheap & if I can't find cheaper quotes I'm looking at a new replacement costing £2k.

I’m going to push back a bit. While many ‘bikes’ are single occupancy (which are possibly the most efficient mover of a person), eCargo Bikes basically future proof your city. Moving mutiple people, products and parcels. And winters, please. Gloves, coat, boots Boom! 😊 spacing.ca/toronto/2025...

Ronan recently trailed the use of one of our ecargo bikes and then went on to get his own one the result, magical memories like below on the school run. #ecargobikes #betterbyecargobike trial queries at [email protected]
The cycle to school & back was something special today. A cold day but we got to see the sun rise over a field where cattle were grazing completely surrounded by fog. Loved it. Should have taken a photo but I just wanted to admire it.

After a long painfully tiring day at work with downpouring rain outside all day & finish when it's dark outside. It's lovely to walk up to the @spokesafe.bsky.social secure parking, visible by a single light & see the silhouette of my eCargo bike awaiting to get me home safely &

Oh yeah! And has a standby mode when no power goes to it from the dynohub on e-Cruiser or turned off the power on eCargo bike.

I don't have a setup like that but my single rear light is rather bright. Same one on my e-Cruiser too.

Nice piece on ecargo bikes
(note the author specifies "smug" is under the more ambiguous British meaning).
"Convenience, more than, say, environmentalism, is driving the boom. " - this is the key to unlocking it at scale. As well as the option of the second car replacement
This week I wrote about the rise of the e-bike dad - this piece was originally going to run alongside the story I did in September about the bike boom in general, and we didn't have space in print, but here it is:

As I couldn't get a setup on the wall to hold all 4 panniers & the wire hanger failing. I had to rethink how to do it & decided to build hangers from scratch & works quite well. Now to get more pipe holders & build another hanger.

I hear that.
Honestly tho, I couldn't afford an ecargo bike that cost $4k-what what the lowest alternatives were. I would like to but w a family, it's just not an option. $2k was a stretch.
Do you see space for after mkt conversion kits for ebikes?
Also, more subsidies/used mkt would help

What do you see as the good brands providing good quality at low price?

While I have my issues with Rad, they were my entry point to ecargo bikes. A big part of that was affordability. The RadWagon was under $2k when I bought it.

I do see a lot of Rad bikes in Chicago. I like my RadWagon, though I've had to make several upgrades and had to deal with warranty issues online - which is a PITA. I'm lucky that my local bike shop will work on it.

They produced an affordable ecargo bike that was an entry for me to ebikes

I can't put it any better than Ben does here, who should know as someone who has owned and run a bike shop specializing in eCargo bikes:
bsky.app/profile/brom...
Fundamentally bikes (and espe cargo bikes) aren’t a thing most people should just order on the internet. They are a relationship product that requires skilled after-sales support and maintenance, and a supply chain of replacement parts. Rad had none of these things. Past tense intended.

For me, definitely centrestand. All are Ursus brand, Jumbo & mini Jumbo on folding ebike. Been using them for a good few years now. Perfect for loading/unloading shopping.

Ran into some horse girls on a MUP that did not like to share.

Some folks were in town and stopped by for a ride in the woods. Took out some ECargo bikes and my EMTB to manage the super steep hills.

Super chill ride through the golden hour in the redwoods to get tacos and admire the mountains.

hangers for the panniers. He asked what are panniers? He really didn't know what panniers are, that's a first for me & was surprised, seeing how panniers been used on horses, motorcycles as well as cycles for years. So I quickly demonstrated the Ortlieb ones on my eCargo bike & he quite liked the

told that's BS & as I walked towards my ebike by Pets@home, I did comment to the eCargo bike "you're looking good" as it's bright colours 'glowed' in the sea of dull grey around the eCargo bike. Really had no energy to go out but my eCargo bike made it all the easier & loving this bike more & more.

I think i’m going to make a bracket so I can mount it closer. Where it is in this picture isn’t reachable while riding.
