I don't get the appeal of a super sport bike on the street. I want either a dual sport (dr650) or a naked bike (probably a duke 390 or a svartpilen 401). If I wanted big power I would be going for something like a super duke or ducati monster not a liter bike.

my first bike has been a DR650 for the full analogue experience but you would love that bike too i think - if you like gentle and simple bikes that are very capable.

今日は外せないヤボ用が入って、仕事を休んで出向くことに。バスや鉄道ではたどり着けないのでCT125で。DR650は最近の雨で乗れていないところに、気温の低下でバッテリーのテンションが下がっていたらしくエンジンかからず。
雨の中を行くことになるので久々に今回はアストロ箱を使用。CT125にあつらえたかのようなサイズや水密構造とかなかなか便利な箱なのだけど、経年劣化しやすかったり、バックルが壊れやすい(実は写真のも片方が壊れてる)のでなかなか常用し辛いのがつらいところ。

Had a bozz on my neighbour's 25 year old DR650 yesterday. It had no acceleration and no brakes but was a hoot in the back lanes. I'm sure my Mobylette when I was a teenager was more responsive than this thing. My bog standard GSE 500 in '91 certainly was.

Finally got fed up with the Shinko 244 (aka Golden Boy) and replaced it with a Pirelli MT21. The former is a 50/50 tire and I've been doing more technical trails that I expected so I wanted the more aggressive tread of the MT21.

They need an affordable pan america lite. Harley version of the klr650/dr650. Something reliable, good for 400 mile days. Something the rider can do minor to moderate repairs to. Something that will run for 1-200k miles, and can be picked up when you fall over.

Video from yesterday's ride on Vedder Mountain. It was a VERY hot day. The heat combined with the effort involved in manhandling the Mighty Bushpig through the tight single track was exhausting. My riding became sloppy very quickly.
