Hello from Pennsylvania where a state budget has not been passed delaying state subsidy payments to schools. The Republican lead state senate continues to dither as teachers across the commonwealth begin getting layoff notices because the Senate doesn’t know what it wants except to not do its job.

Thank you Sen. Warner! While agree this is not the way to run a healthy democracy, it will at least allow us to still have a democracy. Now is not the time to dither— we can put caveats on future redistricting plans. Please work with Democrats to make this work in VA and any other potential state.

For 24-bit the choice of dither doesn’t matter - just simple triangular is fine.
For 16-bit it still doesn’t matter very much, there are so many exotic varieties at this point you may as well just choose one you like the name of 😛
Most DAWs have plenty of options & lots of people like Good Dither

Also, I think I heard you say somewhere else to always dither on export even at 24 bit. Any recommended default algorithm? I’m mostly guitar based indie-ish or poor man’s string based Divine Comedy-ish style wise.

That sums up the difference, we dither when we should have taken a shot on, they break up the park and score.

I quite literally just used the math from a Wikipedia article on dithering! It still has some customisation (spread for instance; or using a texture of an sdf instead of the dither matrix which allows for things like halftones).

Buying this color eBook reader was so worth it. Only downside is that I always have to remove DRM from manga so I can modify the images. Otherwise the dither patterns commonly used in Manga (screen tone) end up causing rainbow effects on b/w pages due to the color filter matrix.

Thanks! - at the moment you change a color by selected shape(s) and choosing Color > Set Color (or press <F>) and it will apply the current pen color + dither mode to the selection.

That is not the point, Paris is well served by airports having twice as many runways as London. The point is - when France decides it needs infrastructure they get the fück on and built it, they don't dither for decades wringing their hands; that's the point!
