On my walk yesterday, I found some 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘀 — which has been reclassified in North America from Exidia recisa to Exidia crenata.

🍄 Cooked some Laetiporus sulphureus ("chicken of the woods"). I think this specimen was too old, because even though the pieces went in with a tender texture, they came out bland and chalky. Will try again in the future!

I just love finding things on the ground in the woods, then making them into my dinner. Makes up for the recovery time I'll need now. #DisabledForager #forage

Here are some dessicated specimens of wolf's milk slime mold (Lycogala epidendrum) that I found yesterday.

I enjoy poking these w/ sticks. Puffball fungi are also fun to poke with sticks. 10/10, highly recommend.
