i cant vote because of the cyprus post and because you need a digid to vote by proxy and they didn't tell me even though i didn't need a digid to register to vote abroad 🙃

DigID is very different to Starmer's proposal. Knowing as I do some peiple who have reason to be familiar with its workings, I have confidence in its resiliance against abuse.

De services die ze aanbieden zijn superhandig. Maar het anders gekund. De verificatie om in aanmerking te komen voor een studentenreisproduct loopt via DUO en DigID.

Meest belangrijke punt: inloggen met digid maakt het mogelijk je stem aan je identiteit te koppelen. En daar zijn de nodige privacy voorvechters tegen. Status quo: papier voldoet het best aan alle eisen van privacy en controleerbaarheid

Because I think it's important whatever position the UK left takes on ID that we work out why some of the far right hold the same position as us (against Digital ID) and that we curate our resistance to ID to actively oppose the oppression the far right are hoping to achieve by defeating DigID.

Brit living in NL here; the Dutch have had the DigiD for years now and it allows seamless access to all local and central government data and services, including personal health records, local and central taxation, pension information, etc, etc. Excellent system.

The Netherlands has an "ID Card", in the form of DigiD - a digital ID. Tied to my BSN - the Dutch equivalent of a national insurance number - it allows me to login to all government departments (local and national), pay/claim taxes (local and national), file police reports, visit GPs/hospitals, etc.

Ik zat weer eens verstrikt in toegangscodes, mailbeveiligingen en bureaucratische formulieren met allemaal net een andere naam. Toen ik eindelijk de juiste had, moest ik nog 1 ding verzamelen: een clientnummer. Met digiD.

Vanaf 18 moet je veel zelf regelen. Zorgverzekering, DigiD, zorgtoeslag etc. Niet alle jongeren lukt dat en daardoor komen ze soms in grote financiële problemen. Met de Amsterdamse aanpak ‘samen 18’ voorkomen we dat door jongeren te ondersteunen bij wie dat nodig is.

Ik kreeg 'm vandaag. Zelfde tekst als online. Tip van @lydienee.bsky.social: mbv digid inloggen op bevolkingsonderzoek punt nl. Daar kun je zien welke persoonsgegevens ze hebben. Ik wist t niet meer, maar bleek geen mailadres en telnr te hebben opgegeven. Dat scheelt weer iets.
