Cutting things off again here for the night w/one of my favorite aspects of Markov: a couple of times for one reason or another the gang had to record episodes w/out someone else there. the solutions they came up with were really fun episodes like "here's a flashback for how everyone met!" #dicefunk

Dregg was a paladin whose oath (devotion iirc?) had not been active at the start of the season, so he didn't have access to any paladin features... until he repledged his oath to the crew of the Snallygaster... which fucking ruled. He's about to beat the shit out of his loser brother btw #dicefunk

Once Olivia lost her leg is when I started to develop the Madness. Because she has such a fucked up backstory... involving getting kidnapped by a sol system terrorist/extremist group & was forever marked by her time there. also Big Star was there too. and that's just the start #dicefunk

If I redrew this today I would probably do more to look into what fish meat and pants fabric might look like if you just totally blast atomize it but for the time I think it read just fine. Can't emphasize how dramatic this felt in the moment... like girl lost her leg Instantly #dicefunk

There was a moment early in Markov where Dregg was being an obstinate jackass and really vexing Captain Melbeck. Which led to this moment where he's laughing about the deep shit she's gotten herself in and she + me both had basically the same reaction #dicefunk

Very early on in #dicefunk Markov I ended up doing a bunch of character design tweaks for the crew bc I was struggling w/I think finding a Fun way to draw em all. Dregg especially, as mentioned previously, vexed me, but I eventually landed on building him like a part 1-3 jojo character. and bald. 👍
