It’s such a gorgeous autumn afternoon in Portland that a guy just cycled past us with his arms in the air yelling “IT’S SO BEAUTIFULLLLL!!!”

My favorite bad Wikipedia portrait from the old days was Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrenna. It regularly cycled between these three:

Once I was baking muffins while a plumber was at my house. When I offered him one with some coffee I swear he cycled through several emotions and then almost cried. (He ate it but looked like he felt guilty?) 🙁

There's also a regular problem where I have to turn my *Switch* off and on again to fix a completely separate issue where the colors get even more off, I am completely flabbergasted by that one like what kind of tech wizardy could allow it to even *know* whether it's been power cycled

Klein takes the vibes as an external given, not something that is shaped by how journalists—like him, and his huge platform—cover things.
Then those vibes get cycled back as fact (like here, where the vibes of Biden’s policies BECOME those alleged policies) in a vicious circle.

The Democrats Have a Crime Problem. Blame the Media.

Two very good recycling stories happened to me today. I cycled down to the recycling centre to sort my plastics & glass. Saw a tv that had just come in. That person paid a extra recycling fee. I offered to buy for another project. Centre got paid twice. I get to help someone else. 1 of 3

A #Bikebus attracts families that normally drive to #school. Today 60 kids in Edinburgh cycled to school in the 6 bike buses that ran across #edinburgh. That's 40 less cars polluting the city. It's an easy, safe, healthy and fun way to reducing congestion Let's roll it out to all school

Another appreciation post for the bike + train combo! Wind and rain this morning, but I still wanted my ride. Threw on my rain gear, cycled to the nearest station, and skipped the longest (and wettest) part. Still got my exercise without arriving soaked!

Yesterday marked 11 years since I left my career in Civil Service Project Management after 21 years!
I cried as I cycled away from the office, wondering if I'd made a terrible mistake leaving a secure, well paid, flexible job with a good pension 😰.
But what an 11 years it has been!

Bizarre incident on my commute today. Encountered a cyclist with BLINDING lights, so I said "Point your lights down" as I cycled past.
Matey took exception, turned around and came after me, and looked like he wanted to fight 😂
I have plans for the clear video I have of him 😂

As the members cycled out of jail, often after a 30-day sentence, they got themselves rearrested. Conditions in the prisons were terrible. Overcrowded and cold, the prisoners were intentionally underfed and forced to take ice-cold outdoor showers in the winter.

Narrowdog to Carcassonne by Terry Darlington. This has personal resonance with me because I have cycled/sailed a lot of the waterways he talks about, including the Channel (tho not on my own narrowboat - are you mad?)
Took 3 attempts to read but loved it. Unusual style of writing. Wonderful poetry.

I went on a 50km bike ride in France, having not cycled for 20 years. Tried to cushion the saddle with my jumper, but it got caught in the chain and shredded. Everything from my waist down was also shredded.
What’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done? I don’t mean “cheating on your partner” stupid, I mean stupid stupid. Like, once, I had this bubble bath which smelled absolutely delicious, so I took a big glug of it. That kind of stupid. (It did not taste delicious.)

I once took acid around 4am after drinking heavily & set off on a bike ride from Brixton to Richmond Park cos I wanted to see the deer but I then carried on & cycled 20 miles down the A3 to visit my parents who had just got home from church when I arrived.
Still not sure if it was stupid or inspired

There's the evolution done! The main fur is less different than i expected but the gold on the face looks real good.
Also cycled through all the type forms and decided the Dark-type one looks the coolest as the black matches the main body! (+ Bingo card update)

Just cycled the RSR bridge after the path reopened.
Good: The barrier was placed further South, maybe 10” or so, which made the path noticeably wider. In the 45 minutes I was there, I counted over a dozen cyclists, so plenty of demand.
Not so good: Noticeably more gravel & stones on the path. Why?
