#cship
Fulham won the Cship with passing and better attacking talent than everyone else. The next season we were a small fish in the big PL pond and Palhinha was the destroyer that won back the ball and we did lots of long passes to Mitrovic and diaginal countering that skipped midfield altogether.

He was great for years and finally got that cship in 2012 on the Great Clips 9. Such a cool car. I wish that Jason Johnson deal wouldn't have happened with him at Beaver Dam. Might have changed his life and his fire to race. But he's got a wife and kids and business and that's his call, not mine.

I respect your opinion man. All good. I Wanted the 7th cship. I'm a 49 and 9 fan. Have been of all the KKR guys since the beginning. Pittman was my favorite for a while. Some of the cool sponsors and cars. Just the font they use. Kasey seems like a good guy for the sport. Hate Donny. Liked Steve.

Fong blamed Herrin, the guy on the red Ducati, of brake checking him. Herrin explained he goes through that chicane in 2nd gear, and everyone goes in 3rd. No one else seemed to have a problem behind Herrin there.

Fong was such a sore loser he didn't even attend the Cship podium ceremony.

The #MotoAmerica Cship also finished yesterday, & it was everything #MotoGP wasn't.

3 riders in contention, on 3 makes of bikes. The last 2 races had routine lead changes.

Then, the Cship leader choked & completely lost his mind.
Fong was saying over and over "I'm going to Fing kill you"

As a Fulham fan, I can tell you that PSR is a REAL drag when any of your last 3 seasons were in the Cship and you paid well in 2nd tier as FFC did (and I assume Leeds did as well). This is first season Fulham has been able to spend much without big sales.

Too much instability is the reason I think

In the last year they lost Kudus, Coufal, Cresswell, Antonio, Ward Prowse’s loan ended. They lost defense, crucially, but major attacking pieces too

Haven’t brought in anything equal to what they lost. Summerville was a star in Cship but not here yet

All fanbases are unreasonable in their own way but this 'we must be giants again like we were in 1974 and it must happen now!' mindset actively hurts efforts to not end up in the Cship.

(sorry, that ended up way longer than i expected)

Britney Spears also has an absolutely wild chart. If you ever check it out, line it up with her cship court dates and other major life events.

All of this makes sense. Salary is a legitimate question - and who knows the actual numbers for any player. So much of what is reported is there to fluff the team, the agent or just imagined for clicks. I know our salary structure cannot be what Arsenal's is - but also not what it was in CShip.

Shortly after SA’s 99 cship Phil Jackson said it should have an asterisk. Terry Porter’s response was “I’d like to see him try that Zen shit with Vancouver”

I think it is as simple as 'Silva failed at Everton so he's bad forever.' Everything that happens at a 'big' club is 100x more significant that what he's doing at Fulham in most minds. PL fans don't really know we won the Cship, etc.

Other Euro leagues have NOT had the same issue with 'same 3 down that just came up' like the PL has had - and I *assume* matchday squad and sub rules are same across all those leagues.

I wonder if the issue in UK is that the bottom teams in PL have such a money advantage over top teams in Cship.

Burnley is kind of the test case. Lots of teams winning the cship do it bc of massive talent advantage and they ‘Pep’ all over the lower league. See Fulham three seasons ago- but that style game gets smashed in PL once they’re promoted. The toughest D in history (Burnley) is a diff approach.

Anyone seriously comparing the 2 as justification for Farke needs their head tested! Farke has done a good job, but he also has one of the most expensively assembled squads in the Cship! What Bielsa did with a lower to mid table Cship squad was truly exceptional!
And there is a huge debate about when we sack him. Before the Prem starts or in September. Seriously.
April 20, 2025 at 8:12 PM
I think that's right. We had those back to back 5 goal games last season and in the Cship we decimated teams. I wonder if our comparative talent level needs to be just a *smidge* higher (like it was in Cship) to make it fully pay off.
