An Aud bit of crocheting advice: for patterns that call for sewing multiple crocheted pieces together, crochet each piece separately first before sewing anything together.

That way, if you are unhappy with how one piece looks, you can redo it without having to worry about cutting stitches and messing with the rest of your project.

I also find this helps me work more quickly and efficiently.

An Aud bit of crocheting advice: don't be afraid to slow down, redo, and restart.

If you spot a place where you goofed up in your project, slow down and think through your options.

Are you able to redo the part where you made the goof? How far back is the goof? If it's really far back in your project, is it worth starting over from scratch?

Don't be daunted at the idea of restarting if you feel it's necessary. You might find that some goofs are best left alone, and that's OK too.

You're the artist, and you get to decide what you want your final piece to be.
