Went to member night tonight at the studio and learned about clay bells. Playing with textures more to be able to explore more with clay down the road. #clay #pottery #claybell #beginnerPottert #DesertPupStudio
A metal baking tray holds several unfired clay sculpture pieces arranged on top of a folded newspaper. The pieces include multiple bell- or teardrop-shaped forms covered in small, overlapping scale-like textures, each with a small hole near the top. There are also two short, curved, textured clay tubes resembling bird feet, and two small rounded clay forms with holes. One smaller bell-shaped piece has a carved bird face with indented eyes and a pointed beak. The clay is a uniform light gray color, and the newspaper beneath shows partially visible photos of people and printed headlines.
