#cfscript
You think #CFML and #cfscript is a dead platform? It's not, and when well written, its elegance and simplicity beats chasing the next nodeJS library any day. 😂

Anyway - submit talks for CFCamp 2024 (June 24 in Munich), the Call For Papers is open now:

I've been trying to build a tree-sitter grammar that supports well structured CFML / cfscript, it's been "loads of fun". GitHub.com/cfmleditor/tree-sitter-cfml

Then you just accessed the underlying java layer whenever you needed a native function that didn't have a built in Coldfusion wrapper, or if the wrapper was slow.

It was about writing whole apps in cfscript, basically, and only going near cfml for display templates.

Bit of an SSJS forerunner.

Much harder because so few remember what CFScript is. I remember being in an office where a guy had the CF Script book on his desk & he was supporting CF. By the fact that I mention a paper tech book, you get a feel for how long ago that was.
