“How can a woman keep a man’s love?”
—‘by not returning it.’

That’s some cold, emo stuff right there, Lucy. Cold.

In 1926.

I love #KateBeaton -- Hark, A Vagrant! has always been an utter delight, & her books are a joy. Definitely looking forward to picking this one up. #SharkGirl #CanadianLit #Canada
Your friend and mine @katebeaton.bsky.social has a new picture book, and it's out TOMORROW! It's called "Shark Girl" and if you can read these two spreads and NOT be totally taken by it, you have achieved the impossible. Out tomorrow at a bookstore near you! <3

Laura Moss: CanLit Guides were supported by a @SSHRC_CRSH workshop grant and the journal @canadianlit. Important note: there is no @SSHRC_CRSH funding for this kind of open access pedagogical material. Guides won’t continue without this kind of funding. #ACCUTE2018

What an inspiring journey! 🌟 On Spec truly paved the way for Canadian SFF. It's amazing to see how the landscape has evolved! Keep shining, Augur! ✨ #SFF #CanadianLit
When I took my first writing workshop, On Spec was the only active SFF mag in Canada—and an inspiration when I launched Augur 3 years later.

That was 13 years ago.

They made space where there wasn’t for specfic in Canlit & set the stage for the many Canadian editors who’ve launched mags since.
With our new issue, we are making the sad announcement that this will be the final year for On Spec. See www.onspec.ca for details.

Great author! Highly recommend reading ‘Bonheur d’occasion’/‘The Tin Flute’. Do watch the film of the same name, released in 1983. Masterful! The scene of the husband at the foot of the bed in their St-Henri home is still graved on my mind. It’s that good! #cinema #CanadianLit #GabrielleRoy
Gabrielle Roy was one of Canada's most acclaimed writers. Her books inspired generations of authors, but did so much more.
Her writing helped lay the foundation for the Quiet Revolution in Quebec.
This is her story.
