No doubt it helps to have seen A bout de souffle multiple times, have had the stills pinned on your wall, read the biographies and love the legend, but I was totally charmed by Richard Linklater's sly and knowing and rigorous and not-to-be-taken too seriously Nouvelle Vague

Long multivolume biographies used to be more common. For a high school report on John Marshall I read a four volume bio. Way more detail than I needed at the time, but not at all unusual.

If you ever need inspo to get fully vax'd, I recommend reading historical memoirs/biographies/etc. I'm reading Prairie Fires about Laura Ingalls Wilder/Rose Wilder Lane right now, and hearing about all the now-preventable illnesses everyone had makes me very grateful for modern medical tech.
