This current fabric comes from a 1960s DKW Junior car from Germany.
For the final yardage, @ironcauldron.ca matched to perfection the two stripe colours: the bone white and brass yellow.

As with most upholstery fabrics, the smooth floats run longwise not width wise on the seats. Like in the original, we’re using mercerized cotton for the fibre. In our samples, we used a commercially available colour which didn’t quite match the original swatch. Using original upholstery swatches, we matched the weave structure which is a colour and weave on a modified plain weave structure.

Scaled up batches for two colours @uppercanadaweaving.bsky.social is using to make upholstery fabric for a DKW Junior car. These hues are based off of an original swatch of fabric, and lots of testing went into getting a match.
