Captain Josiah Gosse was the last lighthouse keeper at Fisgard Lighthouse. His story is quite interesting and something I wanted to pass along to readers that support the creation of the many articles (over 275) that now reside at Westshore Memories. #yyj #victoria #victoriabc #fisgard #bchistory

Happy #BCDay!

Western or Pacific, #CornusNuttallii has been BC’s provincial flower since 1956.

Botanist Thomas Nuttall first described it in 1834; subsequently named nuttallii after him.

DYK? The #dogwood flower is the small centre, the "petals" are actually bracts.
