Noch ein paar Impressionen vom Tage 🥹
Blick in einen Raum in einer Abtei mit zwei kreisrunden und darunter einem rechteckigen Fenster, es sieht aus wie ein Gesicht Blick auf die größte und leckerste Mousse au Chocolat der Welt, von der ich immer noch satt bin, daneben ein Café in einer rosa Tasse Blick aus einem schmalen Rund Fensterchen aus dem Amphitheater in Arles auf die Altstadt, darüber der strahlend blaue Himmel der Provence Ein rosa Wurströhren- was auch immer Haufen Objekt pink Gedöns Kunst, neben dem LUMA. Der/die Künstlerin ist mir leider nicht bekannt.

At the Roman site of Olbia (pleiades.stoa.org/places/471987) near Arles (France), archaeologists have found hundreds of burials where funeral pyres facilitated cremated remains of persons and then were turned into tombs on the site of the pyre 🔥 . www.inrap.fr/pratiques-fu...
Following the cremation, some of the deceased's bones collapsed into the overcut of the burial pit. The bones are well preserved, although they exhibit numerous cracks related to the cremation process. While the remains of the skull and upper limbs lay outside the overcut, near the pit wall, the ankle bones (tibia and talus), close together and in their anatomical position, were found within the overcut. Sehr begeistert hat mich heute der spektakuläre Bau von Frank Gehry für die Fondation LUMA in Arles 😍🪩🩶
„La Tour LUMA“ von außen, ein aus verspiegelten Treppen und herausstehenden Fenstern gestalteter Turm, unten eine Pfosten-Regel-Fassade, darüber der strahlend blaue Himmel Eine riesige Rutsche aus Metall für Kinder und Erwachsene, die aus dem zweiten Stockwerk bis ins Foyer reicht 😍😍😍 Blick vom Foyer an die Decke, auch hier wird die silberne Fassade ins Innere gezogen, alles ist verspiegelt, verschlungene Formen, im Hintergrund sieht man ein Stück der Rutsche und einen Teil des ersten Obergeschosses, eine offene Brücke mit Weiß verkleideter Front Blick auf eine spektakuläre, komplett weiß verkleidete Wendeltreppe vom Foyer in das erste Stockwerk

Ein Kapitell im Kreuzgang der Kirche St. Trophime in Arles zeigt einen ziemlich schlecht gelaunten Typen mit großen Augen, großen Backen, dicken Augenbrauen und schmaler Nase, der Mund ist quasi nicht zu sehen, vielleicht hat er etwas schlechtes gegessen Ein Kapitell im Kreuzgang der Kirche St. Trophime in Arles zeigt einen auf den Kopf gestellten Kopf, mit riesigen Augen, großer, breiter Nase und noch breiterem Mund mit vielen Zähnen, der irgendetwas verschlingt, oder streckt er vielleicht eine dicke Zunge aus? Unter ihm befinden sich blattartige Formen, aus seinem Mund kommt noch eine vielleicht doppelte Zunge, die sich auf beiden Seiten wie Spiralen einkringelt. Ein seltsamer Typ, aber er sieht eigentlich ganz happy aus. Ein Kapitell im Kreuzgang der Kirche St. Trophime in Arles zeigt einen großen menschlichen Kopf mit weit auseinander stehenden Augen, großer Nase und sehr großem Mund mit einer oberen Reihe quadratischer Zähne, der eine kleine menschliche Figur verschlingt. Die Figur sitzt mit dem Rücken zu dir im Schneidersitz und hat seine Arme um den Kopf herum gelegt, ihr Kopf steckt im Mund. Der große Kopf hat geringelte Löckchen und darüber sieht man ein waagerechtes, geflochtenes Band. Man könnte meinen, der kleine Typ würde die Zähne des anderen untersuchen . Ein Kapitell im Kreuzgang der Kirche St. Trophime in Arles zeigt eine ziemlich ulkige Gestalt, mir ist nicht ganz klar, ob es sich um einen Ziegenbock oder um einen menschlichen Kopf mit Ziegenhörnern handelt, vielleicht ein Teufel?! Das Gesicht ist nicht komplett erhalten oder irgendwie schief geraten, die Hörner sind leicht gewählt, riesige Augen schauen dich an, und unten scheint ein schuppiger Bart erkennbar zu sein. Zwischen den Hörnern sieht man wenige Formen, die vielleicht Haare darstellen, darüber ein waagerechter Schmuckstab.

Arles: eigentlich wirklich eine unglaublich tolle historisch bedeutsame und zugleich moderne Stadt in der Provence, am Tor zur Camargue. Große Einschränkung allerdings: es gibt in der dortigen Arena/röm. Amphitheater leider immer noch Stierkämpfe! Sollte man dringend abschaffen!

Blick in den Garten des Kreuzgangs der riesigen Abbaye de Montmajour, links sieht man eine Säule mit reich verziertem Kapitel, geradeaus drei schmale Rundbögen, links zwei große Rundbögen die jeweils in weitere kleinere Rundbögen unterteilt sind, welche von jeweils zwei Doppelsäulen gestützt werden, im Hintergrund dahinter eine alles überragende Ruine. Über dem hellen Mauerwerk sieht man den strahlend blauen Himmel. Blick in die Arena des Amphitheaters von Arles, man sieht die modernen Ränge, dahinter die steinernen Arkaden des zweiten Stockwerks, im Hintergrund Bäume und Gebäude der Stadt und darüber der blaue Himmel Blick in den Kreuzgang der Église Saint Trophime in Arles, auf beiden Seiten des Kreuzgangs sieht man aus hellem Kalkstein geschnittene Säulen und Pilaster, rechts die Arkaden, die zum Garten führen - abwechselnd drei Bogengänge gestützt von jeweils zwei Säulen mit reich verzierten Kapitellen, dazwischen die Pfeiler, ebenfalls mit reichem Figurenschmuck versehen Das spektakuläre LUMA von Frank Gehty in Arles, die typische Architektur von Gehry zeigt einen verspiegelten Turm mit treppenartigen Formen, im Sonnenlicht, leuchtend, drumherum Bäume

Situace se vyvíjí každou minutou. Vystoupili jsme v Nimes, stihli se projít ke Koloseu a jedeme do Arles. Tam stihneme oběd/večeři a nastoupíme na vlak, kterým jsme měli odjíždět z Marseil. Težíme z předností, které má evropský RailPass. Můžeme cestovat, kudy chceme. Jen někdy je potřeba mistenka.
