Eve
My partner cut down beer to almost never once he went on anticoagulants and beer started giving him killer migraines. When he found out that REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder (flails violently while sound asleep, mercifully very rarely) can be triggered by alcohol, he immediately stopped drinking.

Many years ago we were doing a study on anticoagulants
And I’m afraid to say we’d send 1st years on our field trip through a slow river, then collect the leeches off them on the other side…
Do you have any small children?

In patients without atrial arrhythmia recurrence after AF ablation, discontinuing oral anticoagulant therapy reduced the composite risk of stroke, systemic embolism, and major bleeding compared with continued therapy.

rééducation physique progressive, médicaments existants (bêtabloquants, ivabradine, traitement standard de l’HTA, anticoagulants si indication).

👉Pistes prometteuses mais expérimentales :

-Sulodexide (protection endothéliale, amélioration des symptômes).

Oh we are SO BACK!

It's a two-fer! I said about cursing Trump and thought maybe he was dead during those strange quiet days. Pretty sure it was a stroke. Drooping face on right, makes fist with the left, tries to make fist with the right and can't. The bruise on his hand is from anticoagulants?

Excellent.

Moving on, most responders fell into moderate, severe, and very severe ME/CFS. Most troubling symptoms were fatigue and PEM.

bad news: the approach to dosing & monitoring of oral anticoagulants was over-simplified by pharma, as a ploy to promote them as easy-to-use.

good news: there is a lot of room for improvement & smarter dosing to optimize patient outcomes.

None of this is new…. The supply situation with prescription meds had been dire for ages. It was bad before Brexit, which can only have made things worse.

It also affects (or has) critical hospital medicines (eg intravenous antibiotics and parenteral anticoagulants)

Not sure what the answer is.

Most useful not universal. I'm A neg too. Stick with blood donations. Platelets donation aren't for everyone, wired up to a machine for an hour with anticoagulants making your lips tingle. It's not discrimination, just sensible precautions.
