Good one for #DataVizCrimes. And by good I mean terrible.

It shows a grouped bar graph posted by ZeroHedge showing US popular vote count by party (blue Democrat, red Republican) for each election cycle between 2012 to 2024 (total of 4). Count is expressed in millions, the graph is truncated, starting at 50 and ending at 85. This can be misleading since it accentuates the gap between groups and across years. Additionally, AllSlides notes that the popular vote count for 2024 is still not complete.

Corrected version by AllSlides. Note - I haven’t done research to fact check their estimate for 2024, but at least their version fixes the truncated y axis issue!
