Concept art direction/world summary sketch of my passion game dev project Age of Etra [AoE]. It depicts the main character Neth, standing in the middle of a space observatory dome looking upon the surrounding galaxy and sun. Within the dome is a flourishing fields of greens, flowers and wisteria. There are accents of Liquid Metal and sci-fi tech. Drawn in Procreate on iPad.

I’m a visual designer by trade, so I’ve been focusing on creating design systems (along with story scenario + game design) before I dove into Gadot.

Here’s a look into the rough idea for UI in Age of Etra! It’s a low fantasy, sci-fi RPG.

A UI mock up of the “STATUS” tab of the potential main menu for my project, Age of Etra. It’s has a simple sci-fi/frosted glass aesthetic that will overlap the world the characters are currently in. This screen shows the three characters, their levels, objective, game time & currency total. Along with potential tabs for other menus. UI mock for the “ABILITIES” tab for my project, Age of Etra. Focusing on the mecha character, 001137. When focusing on one character the UI matches their hero color (in this case, yellow). The screen shows the characters profile image and his class, MYSTIC, ability list. It’s a mock so content is a WIP. Small exploration of simple dialog boxes, this one is special as it’ll be a core character interaction and will be treated in a different manner but gets the point across. As you progress through the story, you’ll discover logs that will give you better insight on what’s happening to the mysterious Observatory you have found yourself on and the being known as “Etra”. Character Style Re-design — Neth • haven’t been happy with the general style of characters, so took a step back. Her core elements are solid, but needed a bigger head and normal-ish feet perhaps.

A character design sheet of the main character of my personal project, Age of Etra, Neth. A former mecha pilot, wearing a white plug suit, yellow rain-boots, missing her left forearm, hand and her right eye. She wears a bandage protecting where her eye once was. The re-doesn’t is focused on style more than the character this round. Her proportions are more balanced, but still fun and cartooning (big head, big hands). The sheet includes a couple facial expressions, and sketches of Neth through out her life, with differnt outfits and haircuts.

Finally broke ground in Gadot on my passion project, Age of Etra! Starting with the game boot up & title screen 💙

Spent the last few months doing design, story, etc. Now, I can finally sit down & focus on self teaching the dev side of things 👍
