My last name came from the guy quoted below. I'm a descendant of Joseph LeBlanc and Beausoleil Broussard. They're the Cajun Acadie resistance leaders who scalped American colonists for messing with Evangeline and attempting genocide of our people.

My 2nd cousin is Mikmaq. Cajuns in Acadie got along so well with the locals they'd marry them. Fought side by side against British and raided Americans for messing with Evangeline. ;^/
