A linux distro that's actually good, providing a stable XLibre/Openbox experience with Flatpaks and dnf or apt. Not Ubuntu based, but perhaps Debian. NVIDIA proprietary drivers included. Should work with most Win64 software OOB.

#XLibre runs on #ArchLinux btw. Some of you guessed it; others have known for a while. We've created third-party PKGBUILDs, teamed up with another AUR maintainer, and now provide x86_64 binaries. We never talked about it; now we will.

You can use the Arch User Repository (AUR) to install #XLibre on #ArchLinux as well. vitaliikuzhdin created PKGBUILDs at the end of June and co-maintains them with artist4xlibre. Please see the pinned comment aur.archlinux.org/packages/xli... . A big thank you both! #XLibreArchWeek

In #Ubuntu 25.10 Questing Quokka, support for #GNOME on #Xorg was dropped. If you like to stay with an #X11 desktop, you may, e.g., have a look at the choices at github.com/X11Libre/xse... , stick to 24.04 LTS or switch to a non-GNOME flavor ubuntu.com/desktop/flav... . #XLibre
