Dan Strauss, Mark Solomon and Joy Hollingsworth want to set aside $200K in next year's budget for "planning, relocation,
and the preservation efforts" on Seattle's Melbourne W2 trams, operated on the defunct Waterfront Streetcar line from 1982-2005. They're still sitting in a warehouse.

This Council Budget Action (CBA) would increase proposed appropriations to Finance General (FG) by
$200,000 to support preservation of the George Benson Waterfront Streetcar trolleys. These historic
trolleys were previously operated on the Waterfront Streetcar Line and are stored in Anacortes and
cared for by the nonprofit Friends of the Benson Trolleys. The storage agreement is ending and without
City support, the trolleys may be sold out of state. The funding would go towards planning, relocation,
and the preservation efforts of maintaining the trolleys in Seattle.

I think this is true for most parts of gen 5. Genwunners being VERY mad about gen 5 when it came out imo is partially what caused them to fumble with gen 6 onwards so much. B/W and B2/W2 are the peak of the series imo.
