Carlo Rustichelli studied violoncello and piano at the Accademia Filarmonica in Bologna. This is a very human score, with a melancholy theme that supports the characters throughout the film and represents their nostalgia for the kind of life they are living.

Nach der Lektüre Eures Buches #Fortissima fiel mir zufällig dieses Bild von Suzanne Valadon (1865-1938) "Femme à la contrebasse" in den Blick. Und ich fand es amüsant, dass im Französischen zwar "le violoncello" männlich ist, aber "la contrebasse" weiblich.😊
Das Gemälde von Suzanne Valadon zeigt eine Frau, die Kontrabass spielt, in einem Raum, der mit dem Instrument und seiner Spielerin fast ausgefüllt zu sein scheint.

The name cello is derived from the ending of the Italian violoncello, which means "little violone". By the turn of the 20th century, it had become common to shorten the name to 'cello, with the apostrophe indicating the missing stem.
