Today, we’re looking at the Apple IIe (1983): the longest-lived model in Apple’s classic II series. With expanded RAM, better keyboard support, and 80-column text display, the IIe became a mainstay in classrooms and offices for years. #VintageComputer

Throwback Thursday: The Sound Blaster: picture of Sound Blaster 1.0, caption reads: Released in 1989, the Sound Blaster 1.0 was extremely popular due to its great features, low price, and software compatibility. They were based around the Yamaha YM3812 chip, and the Sound Blaster cards became the de facto standard for consumer audio for IBM compatible PCs. Sound Blasters were extremely popular in the burgeoning PC gaming market, where video game developers produced masterful soundtracks that sounded best only if you had a Sound Blaster card.

Got my Tecmar Mac Drive working after recapping and repairing the power supply and replacing a shorted cap on the main PCB board. Very cool serial based drive that was available BEFORE Apple's HD20 hard drive solution. #Macintosh #vintagecomputer #retrocomputing

This is a picture of a Tecmar 10 MB Mac Drive that works on a Mac 128K computer. It boots from floppy but spits out the floppy as it's booting and continues to boot from the hard drive. It has an early Syquest drive that takes a 5MB cartridge. I don't have one of those, unfortunately.
