While Verum Rex has several direct parallels to Final Fantasy Versus XIII, it actually more closely resembles Square Enix's arcade shooter "Gunslinger Stratos" which is exclusive to Japan. Yeah those are my favorite ones too. The Verum Rex stuff cracked me up, I loved it. As someone that followed VersusXIII closely back in the day, seeing it reimagined like that was pretty cool.

lol it was inspired by the trailer for VersusXIII so it’s been developing since forever. I’m glad it’s coming out but now there are like 18 Chinese/Korean rpgs coming out that look just like it 🫠

AND the EVEN MORE dogshit nonsense plot, but thats a direct consequence of both gacha writing being structured entirely with the sole purpose to sell PNGs and last as long as it makes money with no actual ethos behind it and nomura being a petty brat over his versusXIII OCs but at least thats funny
