Australia’s 1st Single Cell Cancer Proteomics Lab is coming! Backed by a $1.8m Australian Cancer Research Foundation grant & based at #USYD's Sydney Mass Spectrometry, the national platform will let researchers examine proteins in individual cancer cells, opening new paths to personalised treatment.

Interesting article on international students at University of Sydney. What it doesn't mention is that in 2022 more than half of USyd's international students were offshore (and the same for UNSW which is also referenced)

It’s important to remember that the proposed cuts at UTAS affect students as well as staff - it’s good to see this attention from Honi Soit (USyd’s student newspaper) honisoit.com/2025/06/univ...

I’d love to visit the college it’s primarily set in. It isn’t exactly based on real buildings, but parts were definitely influenced by my time on USYD’s campus. in reality a college wouldn’t have rickety wooden bridges between buildings the way it does in my book 😅 #CRPfireflies #CampRevPit

A quantum computing innovation developed by researchers at @sydneyuni.bsky.social is being used in Google’s latest quantum chip, called Willow.

The processor utilises a breakthrough in error correction which can improve the performance of #quantum devices.
