There is something both very funny and sweet about complaining your whole career about being typecast as Dracula but also naming your cat Renfield.

cinematic hot take: Sean William Scott is a decent actor who immediately blew up his own career by being so brilliant as Stiffler in American Pie (which would be completely unwatchable if not for him and maybe Eugene Levy) that it completely typecast him

They’re making another drama series about the campaign out next year. You’re pretty sure your character will be typecast as comic relief

@katelynburns greatly appreciates The Flytrap's willingness to let her publish on things other than trans issues, which is what editors typically typecast her for. Check out her Flytrap work on gender issues urbanism and transit:
Cities Are Designed By Men – and it Shows
Urbanism is full of critical feminist issues, but the lack of women helping to shape American cities endangers us all.

you made the decision to go anywhere near Bill. That's your own damn fault. Don't typecast people who don't believe in mythological superstitious bullshit by his behavior.

i'm not very good at programming, but one of the reasons why is because i learned how programs work through pokemon glitches and thus understand data as a bunch of bytes that you interpret differently depending on the code, and you can do whatever you want, and types and typecast seem superfluous

ngl I still think that there's probably room for a *real* man-of-the-people candidate to slip in & actually put up a genuinely voter-driven campaign, but that particular crowd will freak out because the most likely typecast for that sort of candidate in the Northeast is somebody like a teacher.

Gabrielle Union.
When I mentioned this on Twitter, she or her team searched her name and blocked me because I stated that although she’s a good actress, she’s typecast and plays the same roles and needs to expand her range. 😂

Which actor has played the same role in every movie?

Like he’s typecast as “uptight bird, but specifically a British one” even though there are relatively few roles that call for that

This could later get you typecast in more roles, like one of Gladys Knight’s backup singers

Anton Diffring: German actor. Had an extensive film and television career in the U.K from the 1940s to the 1980s, latterly appearing in international films. Often typecast as Nazis and other vile, despicable characters. Fled Nazi Germany in 1939, the son of a Jewish shop owner.

This is both Perkins defining role and a millstone on the rest of his career, and whilst it's a shame it typecast him so much, he's really fucking good.

Weirdly, for the first time in my life, people consistently assumed that I didn't know programming, etc. lol I feel like I have so many marginalisations that kinda imply programmer (brown, trans, etc.). It felt refreshing to kinda get typecast as something else

Saying that I'm "presently listening to a second hand record of Casiopea's 13th album on a Beocenter 9500" feels like I've been typecast into a very, very specific kind of nerd
(don't think I've ever heard this one, you can kinda hear them pushing a bit more into Citypop at this point)

It's such an industry there that like Kobayashi, certain voice actors become typecast as the Hollywood actors, meaning that for example Tessho Genda is the go-to for Schwarzenegger. When Chief Arino played Rondo of Blood and heard Ishimaru as Dracula, he said "Oh, that's Jackie [Chan]!"

I’d say he’s lying. He’s typecast in the role of smarmy 1933 Christofascist German “Advisor to the Chancellor” low budget drama. Can we not get a John Gielgud or Laurence Olivier for this horror flick? And Argentina gets $40 BILLION!!! By what authority?
To be unaware of one thing you don't wish to talk about is convenient.
To be unaware of *everything* you don't wish to talk about is either lying or incompetence. Or both.

Q: What's your message to the 170 US citizens who have been detained by ICE? About 20 of them are children
MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know what you're talking about with the children. I haven't seen that so I'm not going to comment on it.
