Apparently Tricare for life that is given to retired soldiers doesn’t mean it’s a benefit for life 2026 already and expensive gonna cost more
January 17, 2026 at 6:09 PM
Neuro told us TriCare was denying some claims!!! So not only did the "Big beautiful bill", impact disabled veterans dependents in ChampVA; it is impacting retiree's dependents...
Now my question; is it all vets or only women veterans that this is happening too???

all your screaming & nada🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

One of our insurances is TriCare, hub was career enlisted Navy and I was the glue holding things together.

I absolutely agree you deserve at least that much assistance.

We see how veterans struggle with the VA and Tricare. We all have Medicare horror stories from our grandparents, particularly with senior living. Medicaid straight-up sucks in a lot of places.

But the truth is, that can vary greatly, and the difference is funding.

When someone gets offended that you made a joke about marrying for the Tricare... And you end up banned from the community you helped build over the last year as a result.

But Tricare literally made the same joke themselves.

Noteworthy for people wondering about how DOD/Tricare policies may be affected- given the mobility of military children, these state requirements highlight the necessity of full and easy access to the AAP vaccine schedule regardless of where the children live.
“…19 states have announced that they won’t follow new CDC vaccine schedule: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin.”
At least 19 states are defying the federal government and rejecting the new CDC childhood immunization schedule, announcing that they will follow the American Academy of Pediatrics' guidance on immunizations.

Senate approves bill to reimburse Mississippi National Guard members’ TRICARE premiums
The Mississippi Senate passed Senate Bill 2018 to reimburse TRICARE-eligible, actively drilling National Guard members for health-care premiums if they lack other employer coverage; the measure passed by morning roll call and drew unanimous cosponsorship from the chamber.

I hit 20 years in October. Dropping my packet is tempting but...drill pay is guaranteed. I pay something like $60 a month for Tricare Reserve Select. Once I start flying again this summer, that's good money too.

I can't give that up. Yet. Until I have to, ethically.

@congressmanboyle.bsky.social you guys should just give us that good ass healthcare that keeps Grassley alive. When I used tricare, it was awesome! Not perfect, but pretty easy to use without any delay…there’s one number and the connections between doctors didn’t rely on me

Nope! Just for Tricare plans in the NDAA

Why should someone on a employer paid plan care of their employer gets a tax deduction to help lower theirs - doesn’t impact them. Medicare
Paid by taxes we and employers pay and Tricare a promised benefit along with VA… very cheap
January 11, 2026 at 6:57 PM
Around 54% of Americans get health insurance through employers, roughly 19% have Medicare, and about 2.6% have TRICARE, with 1% covered by VA/CHAMPVA, though many people have overlapping coverage, especially veterans with both VA/TRICARE and private plans.
75.6%
January 11, 2026 at 6:44 PM
Guess what - we subsidize Employer healthcare wirh tax deductions , Medicare and Tricare are both subsidies and government run- so over 50% already have what they want and not the same high priority you claim …🤷‍♀️
January 11, 2026 at 6:36 PM
Actually it was … and again universal healthcare isn’t a priority for the majority of American who have employer paid, Medicare and Vets Tricare — one only has to pay attention to comments against ACA - yet no one bothers to ask which if the benefits they want to lose if it gets gutted - look it up

Rick Scott LARGEST RIPOFF OF HEALTHCARE FRAUD
$1.7Billion

that HCA engaged in a series of schemes to defraud Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE, the military’s health care program, through hospital cost reports, the year end claims submitted by hospitals to the govt….

You know who could care less about universal healthcare- Those on employer paid plans , Medicare and veterans on taxpayer subsidized Tricare —- not an issue since theirs is already cheap - like it was at the Fortune 500 co I worked at… mine was $400 a year back in 2015 & 1200 a yr for a single today
January 11, 2026 at 5:36 PM

Something else fun about neuroqueer conversion therapy is some insurances like the US military's TRICARE won't pay for teaching life skills.

So it's solely about pounding square blocks out through round holes in those cases.
January 11, 2026 at 4:32 PM
Bergman gets no less than FOUR fully taxpayer funded health insurance plans all of which have little to no premiums, copays and deductibles.
1) Medicare
2) Congressional benefits
3) Tricare For Life
4) VA
He's also a millionaire.

I haven’t had any trouble with tricare (military) mail order, if that is an option for folks. Chasing vyvanse in the past was one of the cruelest games ever 😒
January 11, 2026 at 8:20 AM
You, a normal person: War with Europe would be devastating!!

Me: I know right? What happens if they nuke McGuire AFB? Is Tricare going to let me take my kids to civilian providers instead of the base clinic?
