i miss tenchu the problem is that i like a stealthy deliberate ninja experience rather than the slice and dice of ninja gaiden type ninjas :(

Old games are so cool… playin Tenchu, broke a dude’s neck in such a way that he died with his body still propped up. Then an archer started to notice me, so I ducked behind the kneeling body to break line of sight 🔥🔥🔥

Packaged PS5 Biohazard RE:3make for under $15, anyone? Capcom et al. (K2 of Tenchu 3 & Kurenai, Tatsuya Minami's company M-Two, Redworks) attempted to capture lightning in a bottle twice... with mixed results. Jill's Last Escape got worse every night all right!

Wanted some sneak fuck action and it's been long enough for me to be willing to find a workaround for the soft lock I hit last time, so reinstalled AC Shadows and this series being so much better for just letting you do hot girl ninja shit really makes me feel like we gotta bring actual Tenchu back

3. Getting cable TV in 1996 and taping Tenchu Muyo from the Sci-Fi Channel overnight
4. Seeing Porco Rosso late at night on Sky Movies before Ghibli was well-known in the UK

The Playstation 2 turns 25 today. These 4 games are my favorite from that console.
Outside of Xbox, N64, or the Wii, Playstation 2 is where I spend most of my time playing it. I would've put Tenchu in here but I didn't play it on the PS2 hardware.

the hardest part of Tenchu PS1 after so many years is the tank controls, but i appreciate how they slow me down enough to make it a grounded stealth game in a 90s Japanese ninja movie world
