Lin pitched in a practice game against #WBC rules and pulled his hamstring. He was carried off the field and has since been inactive.

#Team_Taiwan catcher Chia-Chen "Lyle" Lin has signed a minor league contract with the not-Oakland #Athletics. The deal also includes an invitation to major league spring training.
Lin has reported and completed his first workout today in Arizona. Pitchers and catchers officially report on the 12th.

#World_Baseball_Classics President #Jim_Small is in Taiwan promoting February's #WBC_Qualifier in the #Taipei_Dome. He stated that it was unlikely for a MLB regular season opener to be held in Taiwan in the next few years.
He is also scheduled to meet with #CPBL and #CTBA to shut down #Team_Taiwan.

#Jim_Small, President of #World_Baseball_Classics, is scheduled to visit Taiwan this weekend for a few meetings with officials of #CPBL and #CTBA, particularly on their liberal use of the phrase #Team_Taiwan.

1> He hand-picked #Rakuten_Monkeys minor league manager Hao-Jiu Tseng (曾豪駒) to manage #Team_Taiwan.
2> There will be significant roster changes coming to the WBC Qualifier squad.

#CPBL is selling #Premier12 Global Champion merchandise to celebrate #Chinese_Taipei / #Team_Taiwan winning the tournament last week. However it is missing the official license from #WBSC.

#Chinese_Taipei, affectionately known as #Team_Taiwan, will be traveling on #China_Airlines's flight CI-105, departing Tokyo Narita on 11/25 at 5:45pm and arriving at Taipei Taoyuan International at 8:55pm.
They will meet with Taiwan's President at a later time, and a victory parade is in the works.
