#Symfonium
this may or may not include 3rd party clients, and definitely doesn't count listening to local files or from my homeserver with an app like Symfonium

Spotify doesn't pay artists nearly as much as you think. Buy your favorites on bandcamp and direct from labels or use the forbidden mp3 converter. Jellyfin, Navidrome, Symfonium, Poweramp. Make your own Spotify.

bleh i have two apps to copy something from the android share sheet to my clipboard (uninstalling ~50 apps in the last 4 days!? really nice to just remove stuff that I never ever use)
also old Nova Launcher setup! uninstalling now that it lacks updates & that icon pack is gone (attached. also new!)

i guess i'm sticking with plexamp. symfonium is nice, and it you can use your plex server, but it's.. kind of ugly ui wise. might just be my phone, but the font looks squished.

🤔 If I'm moving over to running things from Jellyfin and using an OIDC powered SSO, I probably don't need to run a dedicated music server as well...

Just discovered Symfonium can operate as a Jellyfin client for music, so fuck it!

ive been using a pirated version of symfonium, but ill check this out

In the past, I've used MPD with clients like mpc, ncmpc++ & Sonata.

I've also tried Plex but the options are limited when it comes to the clients available.

Navidrome supports Subsonic clients, so I use clients like Feishin & playerctl on PC or Symfonium on Android. I love this setup.

symfonium is better than poweramp for me for the sole reason that it lets me day/nightcore my music on the fly

(is it symfonium?)

idk the conversion rate but -woah I had no idea what that was... ummm
idk I cleared the queue and I have no idea how to figure out the size of all the files that were going to play (but u can get back to a queue in Symfonium!)

This is exactly what I did, so grateful for Navidrome! There are lots of great Subsonic clients too, including Symfonium on Android, and Music Assistant for Home Assistant.

For syncing I use Syncthing, for playing I use Symfonium on my phone. Very good client with a one-time payment, local caching, and can take from local files, opensubsonic, jellyfin, etc. nearly seamlessly

Whoa, Symfonium looks fantastic! I’m in iOS land but I’d be all over that if I was on Android.

turns out my reverse proxy to a subdirectory has stopped working for plex so i may as well just point symfonium at navidrome

Symfonium is pretty awesome for playing music from Navidrome, too bad it's proprietary

If you're not using Symfonium for your self-hosted music, you are missing out. Its truly an engineering marvel - the most customizable music player ever made for any platform.

For anyone with a jellyfin or similar self hosted music box, you need Symfonium. It is amazing. The UI to create smart playlists is a bit wonky, but the single most powerful playlist builder I've ever used.

And its got tons and tons of display options.
