I am not a co-author on this work but began working on it before my time as Livia’s postdoc was up. Vincent Fletcher has done stellar work as a PhD to make a nested sampling-powered algorithm for building MLIAP’s from near-scratch.

I actually came up with a rewrite for the Ultimate Cup SEX a while ago (I believe this was before I fully understood that it was supposed to be a "what if?" rather than a direct continuation of the previous cup explaining Elfilis' return, but even regardless it's pretty lame...):
Furious after his defeat (and still being semi-concious as he had only just been resealed), Meteonelfilis musters up the strength to break back out of the meteor, (Stubborness runs in the family I suppose...) Sensing his sibling's latent remaining psychic energy, he rushes towards the portal leading to Forgo Dreams (this is assuming it canonically stays open after beating it for some reason and doesn't just remain for gameplay purposes), absorbing the remaining psychic energy as well as Forgo's memories in the process (this being important later and also a canon explanation for the phantom bosses reappearing). While this happens, a meteorite crashes into the colosseum, this one strong enough to create its own pocket dimension which Meteonelfilis uses as a base while he masters his sibling's power and thinks of a new plan (1/4) The Ultimate Cup Z EX proceeds as normal, up until the fight against Forgo Leon, which is replaced with an even stronger variant called 'Phanto-Stellar Leon', being a phantom copy of Leongar (duh) powered-up by the crystals. The general events of the fight play out the same however, with it being revealed that it is being directly piloted by Meteonelfilis. After its defeat, the Butterfly of Paradise once again rears its ugly head (no offense), however Meteonelfilis, being aware of what will happen next due to absorbing Forgo's memories, takes action and grabs the insect before it can land on him. However it absorbs him all the same, turning into Morpho Knight EX, though it tends to twitch throughout the fight and acts much more aggressive, a far cry from the mastery of its host's powers which gave it this form in Star Allies. This is because either due to being much more powerful than Soul Forgo or because of him striking first, Meteonelfilis is actually the one in control here (2/4) After beating Morpho Knight EX, Meteonelfilis manages to retreat just like Forgo did, leading to the final battle of the cup. The power of the starries, Elfilis' psychic energy and a fraction of Morpho's power he likewise was able to steal results in the emergence of a new form, being what other than 'Chaos Meteonelfilis'? It plays out about how you'd expect, more powerful moves, some stuff copied from Chaos Elfilis' fights (including their Z EXclusive attacks), the whole package really... This is until the third phase, where instead of just encasing himself in crystal and sitting on his ass, he proceeds to absorb ALL of the meteor's power scattered across the New World, creating a new impenetrable crystal body with the core being the weak-point. He creates towering walls of crystal around Kirby with his spear growing so large it pierces through the clouds, preparing for an attack Kirby would have no chance of surviving and certainly not avoiding... (3/4) This is when (and the proceeding bit gets kind of self-fanservicy I'll admit), right before it strikes, a familiar figure stands above Kirby, deflecting Ares with his own weapon. Elfilin, having become whole again, is able to transform back into his original appearance now dubbed 'Fecto Elfili**n**'. As I mentioned before, this new form of Meteonelfilis is covered in an impenetrable armour, and that hasn't changed. Unlike every other fight where Kirby must simply pelt the boss with attacks while making sure to dodge theirs, this one is more focused on endurance as he must survive each "wave" of attacks while Elfilin tries to make an opening for him to strike the core. After the battle is won and Meteonelfilis is defeated (again), he turns into a cloud of light just as his sibling did, likewise being the now-purified remenants of his soul. This isn't for Elfilin to have though as the two are still separate beings despite their relation, and so the starries return to seal him for good and truly return to the stars & travel the universe this time. If Meteonelfilis is ever to reform his body, things should go alot smoother this time, for everyone... (4/4)

This mosaic of x-ray images cuts a swath across the photogenic Rosette Nebula, a stellar nursery 5,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Monoceros, the Unicorn. Constructed from data recorded by the orbiting Chandra X-ray Observatory, the mosaic spans less than 100 light-years and is color coded to show low energies in red and high energy x-rays in blue. At the upper right is the young star cluster NGC 2244, central to the Rosette Nebula itself. The hot outer layers of the massive stars are seen to be copious sources of x-rays, but a diffuse x-ray glow also pervades this cluster of newborn stars. Since these stars are so young (less than few million years old!) the diffuse x-ray emission is thought to be powered by energetic, colliding stellar winds rather than remnants of supernovae explosions, a final act in the life cycle of a massive star. Moving away from the center, south and east across the nebula (upper right to lower left), the hot, blustery environment gives way to dense molecular gas, absorbing low energy x-rays while revealing the penetrating high energy x-rays from embedded stars.
