Weird Xmas morning thought: has anyone ever done a study seeing if rates of ASD among Sherlockians is noticeably higher than the general population?

Episode 40: The New Big Three, Pt. 2
There’s a new Big Three in terms of Sherlockian adaptations, and they’re quite different from the Big Three we had a decade ago! Josh Harvey returns to help us discuss Sherlock & Da…

Exactly! And I have the feeling the Sherlockians are getting more quiet…😔
And I found another great series but in the fandom there it’s the same.
Do you know Lucifer/Tom Ellis?

I'm 35 now, but I remember vividly what being in my early 20s was like. If anything, I was depressed that being able to do things like 221B Con was much, much more out of reach then. I guess that's where I hope that younger Sherlockians are wiser than I, and reach out to people sooner than I did.

Think of young Sherlockians in college, poor and just getting excited about the fandom. How are they supposed to react to seeing something called Basic, Essential, Fundamental that they cannot possibly get? That kills enthusiasm quickly.

Ebay and Abe's are your best sources. Some were self-published in limited editions. As older Sherlockians are dying, collections are being sold. (Some donate their collections before their deaths but otherwise they are left in the hands of family members.)

...because Sherlockians tend to be pretty generous. It really helps to get involved in the community — which I do for the fun of it, but it also helps in growing your library. You can let people know that you're looking for this or that, and they'll help you out. Plus... (2/?)

Paul Thomas Miller organized a wonderful project, and I needed to write about it. He got a handful of Sherlockians to create a brand-new list of essential books (and periodicals) for a #Sherlockian library! #SherlockHolmes

A Love Letter to The Shaw 100
The Shaw 100 is something that has always fascinated me. John Bennett Shaw, a Sherlockian I would have loved to meet, compiled a list originally of one hundred items he felt should be in every Sher…

I think the most shocking thing about the recent Epstein email reveal was that he was such a Sherlock Holmes fan.

I spend a massive amount of time communicating with Sherlockians, and NOT ONCE will you have found "the dog that didn't bark" (or any version) in my correspondence.

I have one of Tiger's wonderful creations! Sherlockians, jump on the chance to call one your very own!!
Got the terraced bunks built in the opium den, the charcoal brazier and stool where Holmes sat will be in the middle. Nothing is glued yet, it still needs to be painted/detailed. Still available to a loving Sherlockian home! #SherlockHolmes #miniatures #art #fanart #victorian

I made this for a college assignment, 12 years ago. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was still recent, and the last episode of Sherlock was "The Reichenbach Fall," so I went all out on a "Final Problem" theme.

I always did want to make a magazine. 😂 #SherlockHolmes #Sherlockians

🔊 Attention: per Jerry, "Lost In New York With A Bunch Of Sherlockians" is down to its last eight openings. Don't delay if you want to be part of the fun #BSIWeekend tradition!

(Look at me acting like I actually know something now that I've been exactly once. 🤣)

Historical what-if?

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle meets O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba when he is out visiting the UK. No Baritsu. Greatly enhanced storytelling.

We weren't that lucky

I have to make definitive improvements for future Sherlockians

You're welcome

First off, HOUN. I think I haven't read the story in... 14 years? But... I genuinely don't reread the Canon as much as some Sherlockians do. And now I'm starting to think that's a mistake, lol. I think I kind of took HOUN for granted? But, like... omg, it's REALLY GOOD. 😂 I'm enjoying it so much. ❤️

Any of my stateside Sherlockians receive their Fall BSI issue yet? Just checking on unreliable mail delivery in Fla. This issue was supposedly mailed out a few weeks ago and I'm suffering from radio silence. 😢. Supposedly not supposed to panic unless it's not here by Oct 31, but US Mail/tarrifs...
