This might actually be rarer than the shiny 5% alpha, you'd need to roll ~120 or above on both size rolls (0-127 + 0-128) to get an XL Pokemon

IMO the Pokemon games started to go downhill around the time they pivoted from 2D sprites to 3D models.
Scyther is a great example: the pixel art you have a threatening sense of motion, sense of danger, facial expression. In the 3d model you lose the fantasy as they mostly just stand/float

Not sure why I always liked Scyther apart from him being cool, but the 90s had a lot cool malicious characters with some arthropod-like features, overlapping spiny armor carapaces, and sometimes scythe-like blades. It was a cool time.
