Cosmo & Quinn - According to their cat parents, Cosmo is a professional napper and "Quinn is the fuzzbutt we'd be most concerned about if he were to somehow gain opposable thumbs" so obviously he's smart enough to hijack a spaceship, right?

Anxious. 😬😁 5 days until load-in for my first art festival of the year. I always worry I'm going to be rusty and forget to pack something crucial. Plus... I'll be breaking in my brand new tent! We've already set it up once in the backyard, so should go great... as long as I pack all the parts!

My Scrapscapes series is my love letter to "the final frontier" and the hope it symbolizes to me.

Long after we've blown this planet to smithereens, the atoms that cosplayed as me for several decades will become the atoms sprouting into exotic flowers far far away.

While my layering process is cool, the real star of the show is this purple chrome manicure. I've never had so many compliments on my nails! Caught in the act! Here I am choosing found paper scraps to serve as the hilly grounds in my mixed-media artwork. After painting the canvas edges and gluing down hand painted "sky" papers, the next phase is sifting through my collection of found paper ephemera to choose grounds and other elements. Overhead shot of one of many work stations in my studio. I love the ability to bounce from activity to activity without having to clear tables!

This one intrigues me. I love color and maximalism and things that are TOO MUCH. But this piece captivated me from day one. A very simple color palate, only one celestial body in the sky... actually quite subtle compared to every one of its Scrapscapes siblings. Yet, I can't take my eyes off it!⁠
