過去の自分の投稿を見直していると、参考文献の中に、実際に四国に取材に行って、そのイメージを商店街（柳町商店街？）や学校（琴平高等学校？）に反映しているという記述がある。

どうして琴平なのか、については私の把握・所有している書籍などからはわからなかった。
コンプティーク2000年8月号(角川書店)の11ページ目に以下の記述がある。

具体的な施設のモチーフやデザインのことはやはりわからない。ただ、学校とか駅とか、地理的関係は実際の町（琴平・観音寺？）に即していると個人的に確信した。
OVA版も現地に行ったりして取材をしていたのか気になった。
