2/2. Each "integration" in a system requires custom hand written code, knowing the specific hardware quirks, and runs through a STM32 debug console. In short its far from a ready to go project.

STM32 Tutorial #74 - Streamline Demo

In an earlier video we did an unboxing of our new Streamline boards. In this video we will do an in-depth demonstration of what we believe to be the ultimately flexible development board.

For those curious, an Arduino 2560 is an 8 bit processor that runs at 16mhz, the STM32 is a 32 bit processor that runs at 480mhz

Basically a NES vs a PlayStation 1 in processing power

There's a ton of data that engines send and receive every millisecond, Arduino based ecus can struggle at high rpm

ECU update

I discovered that a speeduino can be converted to run on a STM32 based board instead of the standard Arduino mega 2560 🤯

I ordered one up, the computing power is WAY more and is generally more reliable, so is the firmware I'm changing to

Hella stoked for this affordable upgrade

Got to the bottom of the stm32 problem. Turned out the wrong variant of the same chip was installed a BOM error. Same model number with Q on the end. The main different the Q has an internal vreg. And swaps one of the GND pins to VDD... Shorted itself to ground there :(

Oh joy full on work panic attack now, We im going down to the office on sunday (in devon) and I just recelved the new major project pcb, and instantly its broken. The STM32 is shorting direct to ground. I must have introduced a error in the design on this, what was meant to be the final
