I've def encountered less Shiny Pokemon in ZA than I have ScVi but that's entirely because most pokemon I would hunt in the ZA dex I already have in Home

Sucks that despite having a great scene/community here in Seattle for Fighting Games, my actual motivation is non-existent because I don’t have an event/anyone to really grind the games I love the most here

altaria is one of my favorite dragons for how it eschews the usual coolness and goes for cute...and also I love the whole blue bird of happiness connection especially with how it gets used in scvi

this is totally unrelated to shiny hunting but i Need to say that ZA absolutely wins for trainer customization and they neeeeeeeeed need need to keep this a standard going forward. scvi were great and i love them but oh my goddd trainer customization in them is abysmal and just made me mad lol

Outside of some trade evos I've pretty much done all I can do in Legends ZA and I don't think a Pokémon game has grabbed me like this since SwSh. Like, Arceus was fine and ScVi was really good, but this has just itched my brain in the right way. Gamefreak are getting real good at finales!!

20 Hours; 4 Phases, no luck so far....
Its officially taken longer all but one of the 24+ Hunts in ScVi and the 5 completed in LA!

Legends Z-A has been the worst shiny hunting experience on switch so far unfortunately; especially compared to Arceus and ScarVi.
That said Shiny Alpha Noibat wont find itself so expect more hunting later today!

Lol honestly it's been really frustrating seeing it get lambasted so badly. Like some of the points are valid, but after scvi, some of it just feels disingenuous and like they haven't actually tried the game.

It's become very apparent that the Legends series is a soft beta/backdoor pilot for the mainline entries. What Arceus was to ScVi, ZA will defi be for Gen 10 (especially what we know from the recent leaks).
Combat is a bit of a departure from what Arceus did, forgoing (1/4)

something I noticed with ZA vs the previous gen games
a lot of the pokemon who's colors got dulled out with SWSH and ScVi got a huge upgrade in ZA
you can finally tell that shinny slowpoke is purple again

i'd say SuMo really started doing really good character writing and then every game they've just gotten better with it. For as much shit as i'll give SwSh and ScVi their characters are pretty memorable compared to like Anyone from XY

It could have just been as easy to make Arceus 2 which I'm assuming is what that Legends Johto game was gonna be before it swapped places with the ScVi Kalos DLC according to leaks but doing a hard pivot to be the opposite of everything the previous one was is great so far
